Working with local fishermen, you'll be guided through the lagoons and mangrove forests of this UNESCO World Heritage Site, traveling south on the water through a truly pristine landscape. Visit Boca Paila and search for crocodiles, manatees and the variety of birdlife that live or migrate to the area. With luck, you'll spot the local dolphins and some sea turtles. If the waters are calm, jump into the water to snorkel on a section of the barrier reef system, home to thousands of aquatic species. Before ending the tour, you'll also visit a beautiful sandbank where you will have time to relax and swim in ultra-clear water before a local lunch at the town of Punta Allen.
